SURF BioNET Ureka Programme

UREKA is a Science Foundation Ireland funded initiative which supports undergraduate students (from Ireland and abroad) to carry out challenging and meaningful research during the summer months.

The SURF BioNET UREKA site provides outstanding undergraduate students, from Ireland and abroad, with an opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary research environment.  Research projects are being offered within the themes of 1) Regenerative medicine 2) Biomedical engineering and BioDesign 3) Translational cancer research and 4) Neuroscience.  The projects have been designed to be challenging but achievable in the timeframe of the training and education programme.  They encompass a range of research areas including molecular and cell biology, pharmacology and physiology, materials science, glycoscience, bioinformatics, and computational modelling.
