Patrick Harrison was awarded his PhD from the University of Glasgow in 1993, and then spent six years a post doc in Cambridge, Edinburgh and Vienna.
Paddy currently leads a gene editing group at University College Cork using CRISPR gene and base editing to correct CF causing mutations.
He is also an advisor to the CF Foundation gene editing labs in Boston, and is European Editor of the journal Gene Therapy.
