Apoptosis Research Centre (ARC)
The Apoptosis Research Centre is an interactive network of researchers investigating mechanisms of cell death and cell stress and their relationship to human diseases. Deregulation of the cell death programme can result in diseases such as cancer, leukemias and neurodegenerative diseases. We are interested in developing strategies to intervene in the cell death programme to aid in the treatment of disease. The Apoptosis Research Centre has expertise in a range of technologies available for studying cell death at the molecular and cellular level.
“Apoptosis is programmed cell death, and is often deregulated in cancer and neurodegeneration”.
