Description: Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC/MS) is now an essential enabling technology in much biological, medical and environmental research and is accessible to the local NUIG research community and to others from either industry or other educational/research institutes via our core facility. Our modern mass spectrometers are electrospray ionization enabled LC/MS/MS systems, interfaced with capillary/nanoflow and HPLC/UHPLC chromatographic inlets.

We can offer advice and solutions to help users get the most from the equipment available as well as full training and access to the equipment and software.

Primary Capabilities: Ultra trace/small molecule bioanalytical and environmental quantitation (e.g. quantitation of drugs, bioactive lipids, neurotransmitters etc); targeted proteomics investigation and quantitation.

Sciex QTRAP 4500 Enhanced high performance triple quadrupole/linear ion trap system with conventional and nanoflow HPLC
